Frosé: Rosé Wine Slushie

Frosé is definitely a new bougie millenial drink- but my gosh is it ever good on a hot sunny day. It’s basically a wine slushie <3 Simply add water and lemon juice to the rosé, freeze in a large baking dish, and stir every hour or so, and you’ve got a cool and refreshing new way to drink your favourite wine. This is the perfect drink to sip on (or eat with a spoon) on a patio on a nice hot sunny day with your friends, or to have for a summer bridal shower or bachelorette.

Servings: 4

Difficulty: Easy

Prep Time:  5 minutes   |   Freeze Time:  4 hours   |   Total Time: 4 hours 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Rosé wine (your favourite brand)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Directions:

Combine the rosé, water and lemon juice in a large 13×9 inch baking dish (or any large baking dish). Mix with a whisk to full combine.

Place the dish on a flat surface in the freezer and let chill for 2 hours. After 2 hours, use a fork to scrape the rosé mix together, then spread it back out evenly in the dish. By scraping the rosé slush, you are creating ice crystals, which gives the Frosé a slushy-like texture.

First scrape

Fourth and final scrape

Place the dish back in the freezer for 1 hour, then scrape using the fork again. Repeat the process once more, or until your slush is your desired consistency.

Once your Frosé has been chilling in the freezer for 4 hours, simply scrape the mixture together once more and spoon into chilled glasses. Serve immediately!

Cheers!
